Modern, Elegant Wedding Styled Shoot Feature: Diamond Bridal Gallery
I’m so excited to share the images from our modern, elegant wedding styled shoot feature on Diamond Bridal Gallery!! Diamond Bridal Gallery featured the photos and story for our modern, elegant wedding styled shoot on their blog last Thursday (see their post here) and I’m excited to share with you some of my very favorite images today!
We seriously had a dream team of local wedding industry professionals. The core team was made up of members from my BNI (more on BNI here) group, including Rebecca Ruest of My Personal Assistant, who acted as our personal assistant throughout the planning of the shoot. We filled in the remaining spots with people I was honored to work with from D.C., Arlington, and Alexandria, Virginia.
Elizabeth Carberry joined as the wedding stylist and coordinator for the day, bringing in a few vendors of her own, like DC Rentals, which provided all the gorgeous chairs and table settings. She has such a great eye for styling and worked wonders on all the details, setting things up in such a beautiful way! She made it super easy for me to focus on my main job for the day: taking photos of everyone’s amazing work!
Eight Tree Street Floral Design brought my floral vision to life and then some! If you guys want some eye candy, follow them on Instagram! They are producing gorgeous work nearly every day!
Alchemy Calligraphy and Design is so crazy talented, I don’t even know where to start! She does everything from calligraphy to invitation suites to signage, like the unplugged wedding sign shown below. She is a true artist and we were so lucky to have her on board.
Kim D’Amico did our bride’s makeup with Mary Kay, provided by Janet Kiel, who is located in Arlington. I just loved the simple, elegant look she put together that really brought out our bride’s (Jess) turquoise green eyes. Mora Naieem of Cutting Edge by Mora created the perfect down ‘do for our modern bridal look. And you guys, it was *super* humid that day. And our bride’s hair held up beautifully throughout the entire evening!
Rounding out the look for the this modern, elegant wedding styled shoot were the diamonds provided by Ascot Diamonds in Ballston (always my favorite rings to photograph!), the Hayley Paige dress borrowed from Fabulous Frocks of Alexandria, and our bride’s earrings from India Hicks.
I want to give a shout out to Soul Cakes by Tanya, who not only provided the gorgeous two-tiered wedding cake, but also some delicious cupcakes for our guests to enjoy! People raved about those cupcakes!
Also a shout out to D.C. Camera Rentals, who provided the Canon 135mm f2.0, which was fun to play with, as well as the Profoto B2 off-camera flash I used for that silhouette at the bottom of the post.
This team of folks who participated with their creativity and artistic vision was incredible! Thank you so much for all your work and your willingness to participate in bring the vision for this modern, elegant wedding styled shoot to life. And a special thank you to our bride and groom, Jess and Michael, who had such a great attitude throughout the shoot and made our photos really sparkle!
