HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
It’s busy season alright! And I am loving it! This weekend during busy season was spent doing the perfect mix of working, resting, and normal spring/summer things. So this Monday morning I’m feeling inspired, rested, and appreciative of my work and life.
Friday I took part of the day off to sleep in, run some errands, clean up around the house, and lay out on the patio. I’ve been working a lot and realized I haven’t had a day off in a while, so I created space for some down time. I’ve been having some health issues lately and have again been reminded how important it is to make time for rest. Friday seemed like the perfect time for that!
Saturday I was up bright and early so I could head to St. Michaels to photograph a surprise proposal at the Inn at Perry Cabin! Yes, you’re reading that correctly, and no this isn’t April again. I actually got to photograph another proposal at this gorgeous inn on the water in St. Michaels! Josh and Kelly will be on the blog tomorrow, but check out a couple sneak peeks from their Saturday proposal:
From there I made my way back over the bridge to my friends’ Erica and Kelly’s new house on the river for their annual crab-b-que. I haven’t been able to make it for two years because I’m always shooting weddings on the day they plan it, but this year, I was free! Yay! It ended up storming pretty badly for like 20 minutes so we got to eat crabs under a little tent in the rain! It was as fun and messy as it gets! It was nice getting to see friends during busy season and feel like a normal person who does such things on the weekends haha Check out these photos I captured of the view from their gorgeous house!
Sunday I slept in, did some stuff around the house, did some work, and enjoyed my Sunday.
Check back tomorrow for Kelly & Josh’s proposal photos and on Thursday to see newborn baby Asher. Have a great week everyone!!
