I’m super excited to share with you this Morningside Inn wedding in Frederick, Maryland!! Doris and Eliud had a beautiful, touching, vibrant wedding despite the cloudy skies and occasional spring shower. I’m kind of obsessed with the romantic rainy day portraits we got with these two, and you’ll see more of that in today’s post 🙂
Doris and Eliud met four years ago at church, playing in the church band, which explains the emphasis on music throughout their wedding day! From the beautiful sounds of the church band to jazz tunes throughout dinner, to the surprise Spanish music playing as the flamenco dancers stomped and fanned away, Doris and Eliud’s Morningside Inn wedding was a musical dream!
This serious and thoughtful couple had a beautiful ceremony at Walkersville United Methodist Church in Walkersville, Maryland. Doris’ most anticipated moment was her walk down the aisle and lemme tell you, she did not disappoint! That moment was super touching as she walked down the aisle on the arms of her twin sons and she looked absolutely stunning for her groom.
After Doris and Eliud said their ‘I Dos’, we made our way back for their Morningside Inn wedding just down the street in Frederick. I remember first seeing this venue online when Doris told me about it, but seeing it in person on a steamy, rainy day was incredible! I recently heard that rain on your wedding day is good luck because of the old adage of ‘tying the knot’ – a wet knot is pretty much impossible to untie, and I’m sure Doris and Eluid experienced that luck on their wedding day!
There were so many wonderful parts to Doris and Eliud’s Morningside Inn wedding, but I think at the top of my list was the flamenco dancers the newlyweds surprised their guests with after dinner! Everyone listened to Spanish music and enjoyed watching and clapping along with the dancers!
Congratulations and best wishes to Doris and Eliud! I’m wishing you many years of the kind of happiness you shared on your wedding day!
Thanks to all the vendors who created a beautiful day for Doris, Eliud, and their families!
