HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

I hope I’m not making you guys miss autumn too much by posting all these autumn family sessions during the winter! I can’t help it! These south Arlington family photos are just too good not to share! Now I’m not tooting my own horn here (completely), I’m giving like 5% of the credit to the gorgeous fall colors we had going on at Long Bridge Park. But 95% goes to this sweet family of three, their loving interactions, playful nature, and brilliant adherence to my photo shoot style guide!
I’ve been talking a lot about my photo shoot style guide lately, and that’s because I’m starting a new series on just that topic, which will kick off this Thursday! I’m excited to share some ideas on how to take the style guide and make it work for you when planning what to wear for your photo shoots. OK, enough of that; back to Liam and his family!
I send my clients a questionnaire that helps me get to know them a little better and prepare for our session, and I always love when someone who is having family photos taken indicates they want photos of just them and their spouse. So sweet! Such was the case for these south Arlington family photos, when Ivy let me know in her questionnaire responses that she would like photos of her with just her husband, in addition to all the family photos. Done and done! Just wait til you see Ivy and Paul’s playful love birds portraits! Love them!
Liam loves super heroes, so it didn’t surprise me when he was completely gung-ho to climb a tree and swing upside down! Even in his nice dress clothes! haha We made sure to do those photos at the end of the session 😉
Thanks to Liam and his family for being so fun to hang out with! And giving me so much love to take photos of.
