HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

What a great way to start off the new year! Getting to take winter newborn photos of this adorable tiny human and her family. Baby Kelsey was a true dream to work with – she was literally dreaming for practically the entire shoot! She slept right through the almost the whole thing. A photographer’s best baby client! haha
Kelsey’s mom and dad were looking for bright, authentic photos of their daughter along with some natural family images. I think Kelsey gave us the opportunity for all those things! I met them at their home on a chilly winter day early in the new year and was greeted by their first babies, their beautiful golden retrievers! Baby Kelsey has some really fun older ‘brothers’!
That’s the great thing about winter newborn photos: I get to work inside and still use natural light to my heart’s content. We set up next to a big window and along with some tricks of the trade, we get beautiful bright images of the newest little one, right in the comfort of her warm home.
I loved watching Kelsey’s parents interact with their new daughter. Jenny and Doug were so loving and tender with her. And Kelsey was a champ, calmly going with the flow as they changed her into new outfits and swaddled her throughout the shoot.
And now I have to gush about Kelsey’s nursery! I made my way up the stairs to Kelsey’s little corner of the house and took in the beautiful decorations her parents had prepared for her. I love the grey with the subtle pink and white accents. This whole session was so perfectly color coordinated! Love that! And I’m always a fan of book shelves stacked with colorful children’s books.
Thanks to Jenny and Doug for welcoming me into your home to take these winter newborn photos for your precious little lady. Best wishes and I can’t wait to take photos for you in the future as Kelsey grows!
