HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

It’s been so fun getting to work with lots of Arlington families this season for family mini sessions! I love getting to meet all the loving families who are excited to capture memories with their families during the precious stages of their kids’ lives. Such was the case for these October family photos I got to take about two months ago now! Whew, time flies!
Almost everyone who got to take October family photos this year enjoyed pretty warm weather, and for this particular day, the families enjoyed unseasonably warm weather. Not ideal when you’re trying to evoke that autumn chill or holiday glow in your photos, but hey – anytime spent outside in nice weather, I’ll take!
I met Lauren and her family for their October family photos in the ornamental tree garden on the W&OD Trail. This spot is kind of off the beaten path, but I was so excited to find this little area with great light, lots of trees, benches, and all kinds of room to run around, as long as you are OK staying out of the way of bikers and runners!
Lauren’s daughter was decked out in the most adorable red dress and white bloomers – such a classic look! And the little red bow in her hair was just the icing on the cake! So cute! Lauren was excited to capture her daughter’s personality and her standing and walking around on her own, which she was really good at! This lil’ girl can run!
They very smartly brought toys for her to play with, my favorite being the bottle of bubbles – I just love the shot of her with those bubbles! She was so excited about them! She had fun singing and dancing while I snapped away, taking photos of this lil’ lady enjoying the heck out of her family photos sesh.
Thanks to Lauren and her family for allowing me to capture your family memories this year!
