HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS

I’ve had the honor of being voted Arlington’s Best Event Photographer for 2017 by the readers of the Sun Gazette (woot woot!), and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about photographing events, it’s that my cheeks are going to hurt by the end of the day! It’s events like this Texas Jack’s party for Eva’s first birthday that really get my cheeks hurting – from smiling so darn much!
My cheeks were especially sore after Eva’s Texas Jack’s party! Her parents, family, and friends were so excited to celebrate with her! This was one lively & loving bunch! There were a bunch of adorable tiny humans and so many special moments that had me smiling nearly the entire time!
Eva’s mom, grandparents, Eva’s mom’s friends, & the staff at Texas Jack’s helped decorate the party space so beautifully! There were felt flowers, paper poofs, balloons filled with confetti, flowers, streamers – even personalized menus with Eva’s name on them. They all did a wonderful job decorating & creating a fun atmosphere that definitely gave me lots of pretty stuff to photograph!
Miss Eva made her entrance & got to work mingling around the party all by herself! I was stunned to see how independent she was. Eva was walking around, giving people toys & those paper poofs, greeting her party guests like the perfect little hostess. And this one year old actually didn’t mind having her photo taken! That is so rare haha She would smile when she saw me with my camera – it was so cute!
My favorite part of the Texas Jack’s party was probably when it was time for Eva to blow out her candle. Her mom held her up while everyone sang happy birthday – and she loved it! I’ve noticed sometimes little ones get overwhelmed with all the attention directed at them while everyone is singing, but not Eva! She went along with it & ate it up! She’s a birthday professional! haha
Happy birthday to Eva! I hope these photos help you remember how much fun you had at your first birthday party!
