HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Monday has rolled around again, and it’s time for my weekend wrap up! The weather here in the D.C. area is *gorgeous* this morning, but the weekend didn’t start out that way. Friday evening we had a noreaster, I think they call it. Basically, lots & lots of rain. I was a little nervous about what that meant for my weekend photo shoots, but everything ended up working out beautifully!
Friday evening I worked my little fingers to the bone on preparing for some upcoming projects. So exciting! Lots more to come later this week and over the next month, but yay! I so love checking off items on the ol’ ‘to do’ list, even if it means working on a Friday night! Saturday morning I got up for yoga & got my hair done by the brilliant Mora.
From there I got ready & headed out for the first of two shoots on Saturday. First up was Eva’s first birthday party at Texas Jack’s in Arlington. I’ll share more in a blog post soon, but I’ll just say that Texas Jack’s did an incredible job with the party! They were so hospitable & helpful the entire time – even to me! Eva’s mom, Laura, did a beautiful job with decorating the space & everyone really had a great time.
From Texas Jack’s I headed to the Lincoln Memorial to meet up with a sweet couple for their engagement session. We were all kind of nervous about the weather since it had been raining off & on all day, but boy did we luck out! The rain cleared and left us with a really cool looking cloudy sky & gorgeous magic hour light. And check out this sunset. Whew!
Sunday morning I went to yoga & got a manicure afterwards. First the hair, then the nails? What’s with all the pampering? haha Well, I’ll tell you! I scheduled a headshots session with Cait Kramer Photography for last night! I wanted to look my best, of course, so I made sure my hair was lookin’ good, got my nails done so my hands were ready for any close-ups, and gave Milli a bath since she was joining me at the shoot! Check out this sneak peek Caity posted last night (Photo cred: Cait Kramer Photography):
Clearly we see who the star of the show is ;-P
I had SO much fun & the photos are looking amazeballs already! Can’t wait to see the rest but the sneak peeks are a great way to tide me over!
There’s so much more to come this week! I’ll be sharing photos from a beautiful garden mini session tomorrow and some tips on picking a wedding venue on Wedding Wednesday. I’ll also be guest posting on the Dance Adventures website this week, so check me out over there as well!
That’s it for my weekend wrap up! Have a joyful week everyone!
