HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
Last week I shared Caroline & Judd’s gorgeous maternity portraits, and today I’m sharing their Georgetown newborn photos! Caroline & Judd welcomed their new addition, baby Owen, the week of 4th of July. So he’s a patriotic baby, that’s clear! haha I had already met Caroline & Judd’s first baby – their pup, Indy – so I was excited to meet their human baby, Mr. Owen!
This tiny human did not disappoint! Owen was so sweet & so adorable. He barely made a peep as I entered their home & was snoozing peacefully in his little rocker while we waited to get started. I have to say, Caroline & Judd had only been parents for about a week when I met Owen, but they seemed to have that job figured out pretty well! They were organized & excited & great teammates during the photo shoot. Little Owen is one lucky guy!
We set up near a big window for some natural light & plopped Owen into a little concave pillow (the parents will know what I’m talking about!). He was so cooperative, I couldn’t get over it! Sometimes babies get a little fussy when the stranger with the big black box is inches away from them clicking away, disturbing their routine. But Owen was so calm & so chill for his Georgetown newborn photos. He just kicked back & relaxed while I took his photos!
We got Owen all bundled up in his swaddle & he went right to sleep. It was so cute! We were moving him around from place to place, from one parent’s arms to the other’s, and he stayed sound asleep! My favorite part of the session was watching & listening to Caroline & Judd when they each had their turns with him. They were so excited to be holding him & made sure to tell him how much he was loved. Heart.melted.
Thank you again, Caroline & Judd, for welcoming me into your home to capture these precious moments for you & baby Owen.
