Elegant Rust Manor House Wedding – Liz & Julio
On Saturday I traveled to Leesburg, VA, for Liz and Julio’s fun and elegant Rust Manor House wedding. As soon as you drive down the long, tree lined road leading to Rust Manor House, you’re transported to another time. That feeling of seclusion cocooned Liz & Julio’s guests into being fully present as they celebrated with the happy couple!
Liz & Julio were looking forward to a fun, bright day celebrating, entertaining, & showing their love for one another. Their elegant Rust Manor House wedding was all that and more! The manor house is just beautiful & the grounds are vast & lush. This is an idyllic spot for a midsummer wedding, especially since it provided lots of shade from the summer sunshine!
One of my favorite moments from the day was walking into Liz’s bridal suite to find her, alone, dressed in her gown. She let out a little shriek of excitement when I entered, thrilled to be all put together in her stunning wedding gown & veil, looking like a true bride! Another favorite was Liz’s walk down the aisle. She let me know she wanted special attention paid to Julio’s face as she entered (which I did), but her reaction was just as sweet!
After the ceremony, Liz & Julio entertained guests on the lawn with games of Connect Four, Jenga, corn hole, bubbles, and more! I adored the idea of foregoing the typical reception for play time in the yard where the bride & groom could join their guests and mingle before dinner.
After dinner & family photos, I whisked away the bride & groom for portraits. Another favorite from the day: hearing Liz say she enjoyed portrait time because it was quiet & they were together. I love giving the bride & groom some alone time to soak in the joy & love of their day.
