Oh man, this Monday is rougher than most, not even gonna try to sugar coat it! I’m coming off of a 12 day semi-staycation / no office days for the ol’ day job, and being back to my usual routine is rough y’all! Staycation over! To get over the hump, I’m focusing on how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to take some time off, work from home, enjoy the holiday, and spend lots of quality time with the pup!
I kicked off the weekend with yoga on Friday morning – such a luxury to be able to go in the middle of the day on a weekday! I had a wedding on Saturday, so I wanted to be sure to get in yoga beforehand. Friday made my third day of yoga in a row, so I was all stretched out & prepared to be on my feet on Saturday!
From there, I went to D.C. Camera Rentals in Merriefield to pick up my off-camera flash equipment, a must-have for every event with an indoor component! After I grabbed that, I hopped over to Mosaic to see a movie with my friend, Alexis. We got some cocktails, appropriate move snacks, & settled in to watch Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, & Colin Farrell in The Beguiled. Super strangle movie but the acting was great!
Saturday was all about Liz & Julio’s wedding! I did a bunch of camera prep in the morning before getting ready & heading out to Leesburg. Rust Manor House was just beautiful & I had the best time taking pictures for their wedding! Liz, Julio, Liz’s maid of honor, Jen, and the venue did such a beautiful job of putting everything together! I can’t wait to share more on the blog this week, so stay tuned.
Sunday involved more yoga to cure the infamous ‘wedding hangover’, where you feel like you’ve been hit by a truck from standing on your feet, rushing around, & basically getting dehydrated haha I laid out for some vitamin D, did some preliminary editing, took Milli for a nice long walk, & ate a ton of Thai food!
I hope you all had a great weekend too! Even though it’s status: staycation over, I’m still looking forward to getting back to work this week! Check back in to see more of Liz & Julio’s wedding later this week!
