I usually start off my Fun Monday posts wishing everyone a happy Monday, but something tells me this is a happier Monday than most! It’s the Monday just before a holiday & if you’re like me, you took full advantage of the July 4th weekend & extended it through to today! The 4th may not be until tomorrow but I’ve been celebrating all weekend!
If you follow me on Instagram you’ve already gotten a sneak peek at my weekend activities. I just started really utilizing Instagram stories & I’m loving it! If you haven’t been watching, follow me here – @rachelehphotos – and keep up with all the fun!
I spent Friday at Running Hare Vineyard in Prince Frederick, MD, with my mom and Milli. We had lunch, drank rose, & enjoyed the outdoors. After that I had dinner with my dad before my nephew’s championship little league game. He made a great run in the bottom of the sixth, but unfortunately they didn’t quite pull it out & the other team ended up winning. Womp womp. It was fun to get to watch with the family though, and Milli was in heaven watching all the balls fly around! I think she wanted to play too!
Saturday morning I dropped Milli at the groomer for her new summer haircut & headed to Alexandria for Ava Lee’s first birthday party. Her mom, Kristen, did an amazing job with the decorations & I was happy as a clam taking a hundred details shots of it all! haha Ava was adorable in her little tutu & I can’t wait to share more on the blog later this week!
That evening I went to dinner in D.C. on 8th St by the Marine Corps barracks. We ate at Cava Mezze – SO good as usual! Their watermelon feta salad is a summer must have. Highly recommend!
Sunday morning I made it to yoga & I was one of two people in the class, so he was able to tailor the class to what us two wanted, so that was fun! From there I headed up to Havre de Grace, MD, with Milli in tow, to meet up with my mom, brother, and his girlfriend, Liz, to hang out and watch fireworks. Havre de Grace is adorable & I’m already planning my trip back to take more pics 🙂 Liz showed us the best time & the fireworks over the water were beautiful!Â
My July 4th weekend has been great so far & I hope yours has been too! Tell me what your plans are in the comments!
