HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
I think I’ve said this before, and I may be biased (OK, I’m totally biased), but giving the gift of photography is such a sweet thing to do. You’re pretty much golden with whomever you’re giving the photography session to! Joe won some major brownie points, I’m sure, when he gave his wife, Natalie, Meadowlark Botanical Gardens family photos for Mother’s Day this year!
You may recognize Joe… but not for the usual reason that he’s done a photo shoot with me before. Joe is baby Theo’s dad, Mark’s, brother! Joe saw the photos I took for Maddy & Mark for their maternity session & newborn photos with baby Theo, liked what he saw, and reached out to book a Meadowlark Botanical Gardens family photos session of his very own! I so love it when that happens!
Natalie & Joe have a 21 month old daughter, Maisie, and were needing some family photos together since moving to the area recently. This adorable family of three loves doing outdoorsy activities together, so Joe & Natalie thought Meadowlark Botanical Gardens family photos would be a great idea!
I booked a permit for a session at the gardens during magic hour a couple weeks ago & met Joe, Natalie, and Maisie at the visitor center. I was blown away when I saw on the map how huge the grounds are & even more excited when we stepped foot outside to see how lush & beautiful everything was! You know me, I love flowers, so between all the blooms around & getting to spend time with this sweet family, I was in photography heaven.
The evening was super humid & warm, so props to Joe, Natalie, and especially Maisie for being troopers walking all around the park looking for good photo op locations. We found a bunch! I think my favorite spot was the bridge, but some of my favorite photos are of Maisie checking out a patch of daisies. You’ll see, they’re precious!
Thanks for toughing out the heat & humidity with me guys! And to Joe for giving Natalie such a wonderful gift!
