HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!
micro WEDDINGS
elopements
I love a good wedding weekend! Pippa wasn’t the only one to get married this weekend! This Monday morning I’m still hyped up from Karlee + Matt’s wedding at Morrison House in Old Town Alexandria, VA. Besides Karlee & Matt’s wedding, I also enjoyed some down time, so all in all, it was a pretty fantastic spring wedding weekend!
Friday evening I took it easy so I could be up bright & early to start preparing for Karlee + Matt’s wedding. I actually just started the Justin & Mary Art of Authentic Posing course, so I watched a couple of their videos & snuggled with my pup. I got to bed early so I could be fresh for Saturday’s wedding.
To start the wedding weekend Saturday morning, I headed for Old Town, relishing in the spring air & cloudy skies, hoping they would hold throughout the wedding. I got there a little early to do one of my favorite things: scout perfect spots for portraits! I managed to come across some gems surrounding Morrison House, so you’ll want to check back in on Wednesday to see all the goodies! But for now, I present these to tide you over… The rest of the day was spent doing some stuff around the house, running errands, & {gasp} eating two dinners! haha My favorite thing I did around the house (I’m being sarcastic here), was cleaning up Milli after she dug a giant hole in the garden while I wasn’t looking! Terriers will be terriers, I guess! She also jumped out of the bathtub in the middle of her bath, painting the white rugs & tiles in mud. Oy. She is lucky she’s so cute!
Sunday I went to our local farmers’ market & found the most fragrant strawberries! I had to have them. Organic strawberries, y’all. Yum! From there I went to one of my favorite yoga classes. The teacher ends class by massaging essential oil on our temples! Yes please! The rest of the day was spent editing some really sweet pics. Ooh, can’t wait to share!
Have a great week everyone! Make sure to check back tomorrow to see Amy’s headshots, Wednesday for more photos of Karlee + Matt, and Thursday for my final Dance Adventures post!
