HI, I'M RACHEL!

I never thought I’d use the term ‘tree house nights’, but here we are! haha I spent five nights in the jungle during my Dance Adventures trip to the Dominican Republic last month, and not only were they peaceful & quiet, they were fun! Today I’m sharing with you photos from our tree house nights in the Dominican jungle!
I will admit, I was kind of nervous to spend the nights sleeping in a tree house. I have never been camping, never slept outside, never even so much as slept with a door open to the outside! Sleeping in a room with no walls seemed a bit daunting. The tree house nights were definitely something to get used to, but the fun we had before we went to sleep was definitely worth the risk of having a lizard crawl on you in the middle of the night (which actually happened to me!).
One of the unique & cool things about staying at the Dominican Tree House Village was that they made dinner for us each night (and breakfast). Everyone at the resort ate in communal dining area filled with tables, a bar, buffet table, and the open air kitchen at one end. At breakfast they played a soothing mix of American dance music, and at dinner they played lots of Latin music! This created the perfect opportunity for us to get up & dance off our dinner!
The Dance Adventures crew had learned to salsa, bachata, and meringue earlier in the week while they were in Santo Domingo, & I knew these dances from a past life. The guys who worked at the Tree House joined us as dance partners & we all got to practice our moves! Yes, these dances can be serious & sexy, but somehow we managed to belly laugh so hard the entire time we were dancing!
Enjoy these photos from our Tree House nights, and check back next week for more photos from our Dance Adventures!
