What a better way to get familiar with your new home town than to schedule a photo session where you can enjoy a beautiful local park?! Gina wanted to capture some north Arlington holiday photos with her family to commemorate their recent arrival to the area. I met up with her & her crew on my first mini session marathon day this fall at Potomac Overlook Regional Park. And surprise y’all: they brought along the cutest prop for their kids to play with during our shoot!
Gina was excited to capture these north Arlington holiday photos because it was their family’s first shoot since her daughter was born earlier this year. I love being able to provide families with tangible memories during special moments that will last them a lifetime. I imagine these images will be fun for Alexis & Andrew to look at together when they’re older. They’ll be able to see how adorable they were in their holiday best (seriously – that bow on Alexis?! Picture perfect!) & how much fun they had playing together when they were small.
Back to that fun prop – Gina & Cory brought along a little red wagon, just perfect for these north Arlington holiday photos! Alexis hopped in and Andrew pushed her all around the grassy area where we were set up, both having a great time playing around. Of course we took breaks in between belly laughs to get a few posed photos, but the wagon was the main event and fun was definitely on the agenda!
I have to say, I think all the kids I get to meet during family photo shoots are impressive, but Mr. Andrew did something really cool. He walked right up to this map detailing where the Five Lined Skink can be found (in northern Virginia, apparently!) and knew all of the states on the map by sight. The kid is only 3 years old! Way to go, Andrew!
Happy holidays to this super stylish & adorable family! And welcome to Arlington! <3
