One of the gifts I like to give my wedding clients is a complimentary engagement session. It’s a great opportunity for me to get to know them as a couple and for us to ‘work’ together prior to the wedding so we all feel comfortable and the betrothed couple feels a little loosened up in front of the camera by the time their wedding rolls around. Plus I love taking photos of happy couples in love, what can I say?
Fabiola & David were referred to me by a friend (thanks Madeline!) for their wedding photography, and we met up this past weekend at Lock 6 on Clara Barton Parkway in Bethesda, MD, just on the cusp of Georgetown, to capture some beautiful engagement photos. I’ve been dying to do a shoot along the Parkway and Fabiola & David were the perfect couple to have in front of my camera while I checked this one off the ol’ photography bucket list! Between Fabiola’s lovely red & white printed dress and their warm, loving embraces, they melded beautifully with this picturesque location.
F & D’s how-they-met story is so charming! They experienced a quintessential meet-cute: they bumped into each other at Balducci’s and have been together ever since! Isn’t that straight out of a romantic comedy? Love it. David proposed in Atlanta while on a trip celebrating Fabiola’s birthday, and they are to be married next month at a quaint European style restaurant in Bethesda. Although Fabiola has lived in the DC area for years, she is originally from Spain. She is looking forward to her & David’s unique wedding that will combine two cultures while celebrating their love for each other with friends & family.
Congratulations on your engagement, love birds, and I’m so looking forward to photographing your wedding in just a few weeks!
