Virginia Family Photographer
Having your photo taken can be nerve racking. Especially when someone you’ve never met before is the one with the camera in-hand. I like to tell my clients before our sessions to have fun with it, especially for family photo shoots – foot races, piggy back rides, and twirling contests are alright with me! I want to capture the essence of who they are as a family, and at some point between the laughing and silliness we can all take a breath & sit down for a formal portrait.
During my recent mini-session marathon, I had the joy and privilege of taking photos of a family who whole-heartedly embraced the idea of having fun with their shoot, and in turn, I had a really great time myself! The Olsons and their three year old son did everything from play with a toy train to excitedly watching a real one whiz by. They climbed trees, ran around in the grass, and climbed their way up the side of the stairs like mountain men! haha
I left this session with a huge smile on my face, feeling refreshed and inspired. I love those days. And I hope they love the memories we were able to capture of their fun-loving family.
