Carrie and Will hosted the most beautiful, romantic autumn Meadowlark Botanical Gardens wedding last week in Reston, Virginia! And I’m so excited to share some of my favorite photos from their big day.
We’re kind of easing into autumn here in northern Virginia, but Carrie and Will’s romantic autumn Meadowlark Botanical Gardens wedding had me feeling all the warm and fuzzies for fall. I’m totally in the autumn spirit now thanks to their wine color scheme, the fall foliage that was starting to peek through at their romantic autumn Meadowlark Botanical Gardens wedding, plus that gorgeous, warm, glowy light that poured over them during their sunset portraits.
Carrie and Will are somewhat fresh transplants from the Pacific coast, Oregon to be specific. They both have their doctorates in robotics (probably something more technical than that!) – how cool is that?! – and recently moved to D.C. for their work. This meant their friends and family traveled across the country to celebrate their marriage, making this a true destination wedding for their guests! I think Carrie and Will chose the perfect east coast wedding venue to show off how gorgeous northern Virginia can really be!
I loved so much about Carrie and Will’s romantic autumn Meadowlark Botanical Gardens wedding (their wedding party was so fun, their decor was lovely, and their friends and family were so welcoming!), and I think my very favorite part was definitely their wedding ceremony. Carrie and Will’s officiant put together a really personal, very funny ceremony – I’m sure with lots of help and input from the couple. She had me laughing and tearing up – the mark of a perfect ceremony!
Carrie and Will were excited to do a ‘first look’ so they could be sure to have time to celebrate with their guests both before and after the ceremony. They were such naturals in front of the camera and I’m so excited for all the beautiful portraits we were able to get!
Best wishes and congratulations to Carrie and Will!
Thanks to the team who created a beautiful day for Carrie and Will!
