Happy Tuesday! And welcome to the third post in my series on photo shoot outfit ideas. So far I’ve shared two great overall ideas for putting together outfits for your next photo session: here and here. Today I’m talking about my favorite tip – my suggestion to get really dressed up!
Photography is always an investment, so I love the idea for kind of going all out for your session and making it super special – my suggestion today is to get really dressed up with Rent the Runway!
If you’re not familiar with Rent the Runway, you can choose from thousands of designer dresses, gowns, handbags, accessories, and more. They send you what you’ve chosen (plus one additional size to make sure you get the right fit), you wear it – get really dressed up, and send it back with free shipping. This service is ideal for photo shoot wardrobe!
I used RTR for my headshots session over the summer and it was fantastic! I wanted to look extra special for one of my outfits, get really dressed up, but didn’t want to buy a whole new dress I might never wear again. And by using RTR, I could rent a fabulous designer dress and not have to pay hundreds of dollars for it!
I highly recommend RTR so you can get dressed up for your photo shoot! There are so many great options and I think just browsing the site will inspire you to actually go fancier than you normally would. And I just love when my clients put that extra effort into looking their absolute best during their photo shoots. You’re going to have these photos forever and a photo shoot is always a special occasion, so why not go all out?!
You can also use it as an excuse to do something special or fancy after your photo shoot! If you’re doing an engagement session, plan a fancy dinner or a trip to the theater afterwards. If you’re doing a family shoot, use it as an excuse to teach your kids how to eat at a fancy restaurant. Or if you’re getting headshots taken, plan a girls night after so you have an extra reason be all glammed out!
Check back next week for my final post on photo shoot outfit ideas. It’s gonna be a good one!
