Last week you got to read all (OK, some) of the nerdy fashion things I did when I was younger. But more importantly you got some great photo shoot outfit ideas for when you want to buy something new to wear to your shoot. This week I’m bringing more photo shoot style ideas and giving you tips on where you can rent your wardrobe!
I know a lot of my clients are super busy, either with their jobs, their side hustles, or their families, so I’m excited to share some of these low maintenance photo shoot style ideas for my busiest clients.
These photo shoot style ideas are great if you want to wear something fresh and new in your photos but don’t have the time to go shopping or you don’t really need new clothes because you have plenty, but maybe you’re just sick of wearing the same ol’ thing. The solution for these problems is to use a home delivery wardrobe rental service. There are SO many great options out there now!
My favorite one personally is Letote. I used Letote for years and it was so fun! (I actually forgot to pause my membership again so I just got another box in the mail last week. Whoops!) For a monthly flat fee you can have five pieces of clothes and accessories delivered to your home multiple times a month. You can choose what you want or have stylists surprise you based on preferences you set, including your size. You wear the items, send them back, and they send you a fresh box with free shipping.
I also just learned that Ann Taylor has a service like that! So for anyone who loves Ann Taylor, that would be great option to wear their clothes in your photo shoot, then wear them for a date night or to work, and send them back.
There are even services like that for accessories – like Rocks Box, so you can have fresh accessories to coordinate with your outfits for your photo shoot, which I highly recommend.
There are so many great options for these services, like Gwynnie Bee, Ms. Social, and more. If you go to my Pinterest page (click here) and look at the style boards (like the engagement session or family session or headshots session outfit boards), I’ve pinned outfits from each of these sites so you can see what I’m talking about and get more information on their monthly services. You’ll get lots of photo shoot outfit ideas to help you prepare for your next session!
One last insider tip: the idea with using a service like this for a photo shoot is that you will want to pick out your own items to rent for the week of your shoot. Don’t leave it up to chance – make sure you’re choosing items in line with all of the tips on the photo shoot style guide, including making sure your pieces coordinate with what everyone else is wearing in your photos.
Check back next week for more photo shoot style tips!
