HI, I'M RACHEL!

One of the best things about my job as a photographer who works with people is I get to see those people multiple times to document exciting moments in their lives. I get to watch as their marriages, families, or businesses grow and that is so special! Such is the case with the folks in today’s Long Bridge Park family photos!
I got to meet Natalie and her family last year for holiday photos near their home (as you may remember here), and this year they have a new baby on the way! They wanted to capture this precious time in their family’s history with their Long Bridge Park family photos and I was excited to do that for them!
Their daughter was about a year and a half when I met her last year, and this year she was like a professional toddler model – posing and smiling like a pro during their entire session! She was so fun to photograph! Between that and her family’s sweet interactions and super stylish wardrobe, their photos turned out fantastically!
In preparing for all my mini sessions this year, I did some location scouting around Arlington, since most of my families are from Arlington. I found some pretty great spots, but at the end of the day, this park in Crystal City is my absolute favorite for family photos! The light is amazing for both morning and evening magic hours, and even on cloudy days. It’s just the best mix of cityscape and colorful nature that perfectly represents Arlington. I did my first ever mini sessions there three autumns ago and I keep coming back each year.
Thanks to Natalie and her family for having me document these precious memories. I can’t wait to meet your newest little one for next year’s photos!
