HI, I'M RACHEL!
welcome!

I need to start this post by saying how darn excited I am to share these Georgetown maternity photos with you! Caroline & Judd asked that I wait until after their son was born to share these images & I think the waiting made these gorgeous photos that much sweeter in my heart!
You may remember Caroline & Judd from their D.C. rehearsal dinner at Hill Country Barbecue last year. Their Georgetown maternity photos will now mark the second time this couple has introduced me to a place I love! haha Hill Country Barbecue is delicious & the park where we took their maternity photos is sheer perfection!
Caroline & Judd wanted to stay kind of local to their neighborhood in Georgetown for their maternity photos, so we walked with their first baby – their dog, Indy, as well as Caroline’s parents to this adorable little garden right in their own neighborhood. It was mid-spring so the flowers were all in bloom, plus it was magic hour, so I was basically in photography heaven! Great pick for photos, guys!
Caroline & Judd were excited to include Indy in our session, so they got him a little sign to wear around his neck, letting the world know he was going to be a big brother! So cute! Having Caroline’s parents with us for the shoot added an extra layer of love & joy to the occasion & I was happy to have them join in for a few pics of their own!
Not only did we find beautiful backdrops in the park, we continued to wander the neighborhood streets of Georgetown, knowing something special would unfold, as pretty much always happens in Georgetown. I love the shots we were able to get with the different garden walls made of brick & covered in plant life. So unique and just the perfect backdrops to show off Caroline’s baby bump & their excitement for what was to come!
Thank you to Caroline & Judd for honoring me with the opportunity to capture yet another joyous occasion in your lives! And everyone make sure to check back in next week to see photos of baby Owen, now that he’s made his debut!
