Happy Monday, friends, and more importantly, happy first day of spring! I’ve been waiting six months for this day & am glad it’s finally arrived! I ended up spending the last days of winter with a free weekend after my cherry blossom sessions were postponed due to the snow storm we had last week & would love to hear how you spent your weekend, in the comments!
An unexpected free weekend is always the best kind of free weekend. As long as you can embrace cancelled or postponed plans & realize the universe was telling you to do other things with your time. I whole heartedly was able to embrace this notion! I scheduled brunch with a friend, went to yoga both days, and did some impromptu shopping and much needed house straightening. I even got to do my nails!
I think my favorite purchase from the weekend was my new yoga mat! My old mat was actually a pilates mat, which is thicker & not as grip-y, so it had me sliding all over the place. One of the instructors even called me out, afraid I was going to hurt myself during handstand prep! A tad embarrassing. I hit up Target & found the perfect new mat to keep me safe & take me to my zen 🙂
While I did a lot of R&R, I also managed to sneak in some work & delivered my nephew Asher’s first birthday photo gallery! It doesn’t get cuter than his sweet smile. Here’s a sneak peak:
I also got to edit photos for the latest Dance Adventures Dominican Republic blog post, going live tomorrow. Here is one of my favorites from tomorrow’s post:
Today is the first day of spring, but it’s also Allison & Amir’s first wedding anniversary! I had the honor of photographing A&A’s wedding last year in Doylestown, PA, at the James A. Michener Art Museum, & they are still some of my favorite photos! Let’s reminisce on their special day with some portraits from one year ago today. Happy anniversary, Allison & Amir! <3
