Out of Office – Fun Monday

By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be out of office & south of the border… well, not in Mexico, but still south of the border! I’m in the Dominican Republic as one the of the official photographers for Dance Adventures, DR version! I’m in for lots of sun & sand, all with a camera in my hand!

Let’s back it up a little though. I had a pretty great weekend before I went out of office! I think I figured out one of the best ways to start your weekend (I mean, besides happy hour): get a manicure! I decided to try a gel manicure for the first time since I knew I wanted a fun color that would last through all the adventuring I’d be doing in the DR, so gel seemed like a good way to go. I headed over to   & have to say, I really enjoy the effect of the gel. I told the manicurist it looks like a birthday party on my nails!

Saturday morning, I got up bright & early for a maternity shoot with my friend Maddy from Style Me Thrifty (you know, the fashion blogger who helped me create my Photo Shoot Style Guide!). She & her hubby, Mark, are expecting a baby in just a few weeks & wanted to commemorate this time with images in their favorite, Old Town Alexandria. After their shoot, I made it to yoga & then out & about to run some last minute errands!  The rest of the weekend pretty much consisted of editing, packing, blog prep, & lots of snuggles with Milli since I won’t be seeing her cute little butt for a whole week! Is it sad that I’m already excited to come home to see her on Saturday? #dogownerproblems
