Arlington, VA Head Shots Photographer
Taking head shots for these two power houses of Kay Houghton & Associates of Arlington, VA, left me with a huge smile on my face. I just love when the perfect golden hour light, my favorite lens, and two photogenic, energetic clients come together to make my job super easy. And the fun I had on this shoot was just the icing on the cake! At some points I could barely stop laughing at these two’s side comments & hi-jinks for long enough to take a photo! But take photos I did, and IMHO, they turned out beautifully!
One of my favorite things about being a photographer is interacting with my clients. Making that human connection enriches my soul & hopefully creates an overall positive, fun experience for them as well. Head shots sessions offer a unique opportunity to establish that connection, because the actual shoot is a little slower paced & allows for time to chat about their business & really get to know who they are & what they want their head shots to represent for them.
I got to know Kay & Chris initially while we were taking group photos for Kay’s business associates (future post in the works!), and realized that their fun personalities were going to jump right out of the photos & make for some really brilliant images. And I was right! (I love being right!) After the group shots, we broke away to capture some head shots for Kay & her assistant, Chris, and with the aid of that magic hour light, these two shined.
Between Chris cracking jokes left and right as I was taking his photos, and Kay chiming in to help with the creative execution, we worked well past our time limit, further into the evening & it’s golden light, without even noticing! When you’re in the groove, the light is good, and the laughs keep coming, none of it feels like work, for me definitely – but hopefully for Kay & Chris as well.
Thank you guys for being so fun to work with! I hope these photos take your business into the stratosphere!
